HIGHLIGHTS OF THE 6TH ANNUAL CONFERENCE
Representing 10 countries, 10 jurisdictions within North America, and 24 states in the US, more than 100 clergy and laity gathered online and at St. Vladimir's Seminary to have honest and candid discussions about money and stewardship.
Among the nearly 40 SURVEY responses, nearly 100% said, "The conference was well-planned and offered resources and interactions to support my leadership roles and responsibilities." One attendee remarked, " Striking diversity of approaches to the theme. Practical, theological, experiential, didactic, inspirational all come ross-fertilizing each other. Very engaging and dynamic speakers."
When asked "What is one intentional step you plan to take as a result of this conference?" over 30 people responded. These are some of their take-aways:
All 12 presentations were recorded and will be shared soon with all who registered. Some parishes plan to use the videos and materials in their catechesis and continuing stewardship education. If you missed out on this year's conference, contact us to find out how you can access the recordings

When asked "What is one intentional step you plan to take as a result of this conference?" over 30 people responded. These are some of their take-aways:
- Make the 10 percent the first thing in my budget.
- Put alms box by bed and/or icon corner.
- Develop a sermon series, and perhaps articles, to educate and show my parish the importance of having the right attitude towards money, and the role money plays in our personal and communal salvation.
- To begin giving more generously personally
- I need to work less so I can simplify my home life to make my home a sanctuary for my family.
- Inform my community about planned giving and wealth transfer
- Lead an adult book study on Dr. Geleris' book at my parish to instigate greater community-driven action and mindset shift.
- Sign up for treasurer peer learning group
- I plan to increase the impact of the church bulletin inserts with some of the pithy quotes I have taken away.
- Challenge our parish council to take more generous steps as stewards and models for our parish.
- Continue budgeting, carve time to be intentional with family, share my faith, continue to change and love God and out of that be more loving.
All 12 presentations were recorded and will be shared soon with all who registered. Some parishes plan to use the videos and materials in their catechesis and continuing stewardship education. If you missed out on this year's conference, contact us to find out how you can access the recordings

His Grace Bishop Alexei has kindly shared with us his scholarly work about the spiritual transformative practice of giving. He simply asks that as you consider how to make this part of your Christian lives, that you remember in your prayers and through your own giving the mission field in Alaska whose needs are so very great and whose resources are so very limited. Please go to https://odosa.org/current-fund-raisers for more information.

My practice is based on four core values:
Education should help you fulfill God’s call in your life. Part of that call is flourishing as a human: using your head, heart, and hands in harmony. Centuries of Christian wisdom have collected around teaching those skills in college, and the community at Saint Constantine College is dedicated to seeking that wisdom. We invite you to join us. |
