"What's really important, and what's distracting me?"
"How can I be a powerful servant leader?" "How can I do this better?" "Where do I go from here?" "What is the Gospel-driven choice?" These are the questions that drive Fr. Ian's coaching style. A common -- and yet unspoken -- burden for priests is feeling isolated and alone when it comes to making decisions and determining strategy. Much of a priest’s work can’t be discussed with parishioners, family members or even other clergy. We provide a confidential sounding board backed by years of pastoral experience, so that the priest can make sound pastoral and life decisions for progress and growth. Father Ian has a heart for supporting clergy at pivotal times in their lives and pastorates: starting a new project, entering a new phase of ministry, pivoting toward or away from full-time service, looking ahead to retirement, confronting a challenge, dealing with conflict, and overcoming a rut or plateau -- all of which he has faced personally. Coaching gives clergy a space -- away from superiors, peers and faithful -- to explore and clarify options according to their own goals and values. Uncertainty and procrastination die away as clergy prosper and thrive -- and pastors, parishes and bishops reap the benefits. |
