I see the Orthodox Christian Leadership Initiative not as an organization, but as a national movement. Orthodoxy is still relatively new to much of North America, and there is so much that God is calling us to do. Great examples of leadership can be found at every level, jurisdiction and region, but we need to cross-pollinate, to inspire each other to be a strong witness everywhere. Many Orthodox parishes and organizations are wrestling with the same questions: how do we grow? how do we encourage generosity? how do we engage our members and our neighbors? Rather than struggling alone, such groups can turn to the Orthodox Christian Leadership Initiative for effective mentors, peers, approaches and tools to revitalize their ministries. |
