Bethany Saros is a member of Saint Elizabeth Orthodox Church in St. Paul, MN. She is the author of the book A Light in the Darkness—an educator’s guide to Bible study with young children and teens. She served as a medic in the army for six years and deployed to Iraq in 2007. She was honorably discharged in 2008 and went on to graduate from Concordia University with a bachelor’s degree in English literature. This foundation in literature has greatly assisted her Biblical studies. She worked as parish council president for two years at Saint Elizabeth’s. Currently she is a homeschooling mother of three.
